Shelf Corporations

A shelf corporation, shelf company, or aged corporation, is a company or corporation that has had no activity. It was created and left with no activity – metaphorically put on the “shelf” to “age”. The corporation is then available for purchase by either a professional user of offshore corporations, which includes ship managers, manning agents, ship owners, as well as trust and company managers, lawyers, accountants, investment companies, etc., who wish to start a company without going through all the procedures of creating a new one.

A shelf corporation offered by the Liberian Corporate Registry is formed with an authorized share structure of 500 registered and/or bearer shares without par value, and either one or three initial directors.

Generally, the cost of a Shelf Company consists of the incorporation fee, in addition to one or more annual registration fees, depending on the age of the corporation.

Clients who are interested to purchase a Shelf Corporation from the Liberian Registry are welcome to contact or email one of our regional Corporate Offices via corporate@liscr.com. Please specify the following details so that a suitable match can be located:

1. The earliest and latest dates of incorporation;
2. The type of Articles of Incorporation (Standard, Shipping, or 28 Powers); and
3. The number of initial Board of Directors (One or Three)

We can reserve a Shelf Corporation up to one week to permit submission of payment.
