The tense situation in certain jurisdictions due to riots and exceeding reporting expectations have disrupted many businesses. Multiple investors fear unstable economies and the ever growing regulations on economic substance. For these reasons, we have seen several entities re-domiciling into Liberia.
As a reminder, any existing foreign entity that was formed in another jurisdiction may redomicile to Liberia free of charge. This process enables the foreign entity to retain its business history and maintain its legal identity, while also reaping the benefits of becoming a Liberian entity. In essence, re-domiciliation is a continuation of the existing foreign entity as a Liberian entity as it does not create a new legal entity nor does it constitute dissolution of the existing entity.
